Speedpro worth it?
Is the speedpro bank to bank worth it if my car will be a daily driver using 720 injectors or should I go with something else like AEM or hondata?? I have a 97 GSR if anyone cares. Where can i get a speedpro?? Do you sell it B18Bturbo (viren)??

to be honest i think speed pro with the windows an datalogging is very nice with the wideband. I also think the
AEM street version is not really worth it. I rather get there race version.
Hondata=street
AEM=Race
Speedpro=Race

plugn' play and the race version share the same feature except plugn' play uses stock harness for ease of install while race had to be hard wired. If you want race version full affect on plugn' play, you just have to use left over pins that are not in use for factory sensors to convert in more inputs and outputs.

So viren, how's the ease of tuning of one of these and what would be the total cost with wideband and windows for datalogging?? Where is the cheapest place to get one of these??

price for sequential model is like 3000. Tuning isvery easy. ITs pretty much like any standalone you mess with fuel and timing easy as that.

the bank to bank is good enough for a street car. people that sell sp for hondas tell me they rarely sell the sequential anymore. going seq would be awesome if you also got the individual cylinder correction, but that would require you to get some type of datalogging that could record individual ex temps or air fuel ratios. seq might also be useful if you plan on running so 1000cc & up injectors.

Not really interested in the DFI
they are both essentially race-systems... and dfi is cheaper... not to mention... just recently... onof my friends had speedpro... he got rid of it and now has a dfi

are you talking about DFI TWO or the original? because there's a big difference between the original DFI and the SP. DFI TWO looks really promising though, and if i were to pick now i think i'd go with the DFI TWO.

Re: Speedpro worth it? (Tom)
i've messed around with both, and i think that the software on the speed pro is easier to use. i like how the old dos speed pro software runs fairly quick on older laptops and i perfer to navigate with the keyboard. do you guys run the wide band on the dfi gen7? my friend didnt get his yet, it seems like they don't have it all sorted out. if you guys are running the wide band, does it require an install disc that corrects for productions variations in the sensor?
