Spark Plug Wires...
So I have been having some trouble lately starting up my car. I pulled the wires to check and saw that my 4th cyclinder wire had what looked like rust all over it.
What does that mean, and what torque are the plugs suppose to be set to because I am about to go get some ngk platinums.

Re: Spark Plug Wires... (Kimbo)
The rust is due to water because the top of your spark plug boot did not seal properly with your valve cover.
Do not torque your spark plugs. Just insert the plug making sure that it is threading correctly. You don't want to damage the hole by cross-threading.
Tighten with your fingers until you feel the crush washer starting to seat at the bottom. Tighten 1/4 to 1/2 turn more at the max.
Also, with a forced induction motor you dont want to run a platinum plug. stick to the ngk bkr7e-11's part #1283 at advanced auto.

Platimum plugs are designed for a stock engine that is not boosted.
you also don't want to run platimun plugs if your runing an aftermarket ignition because it will melt them
