Default Spark Plug issue....

My friend has been looking everywhere for the NGK BKR7E for his B16A turbo compression 9:1 but he cannot seem to find a store who stocks it. Instead, he bought the Denso Iridium spark plugs IK16#4, 5303#4 ...... and he is wondering if this is alright for his car. The shop that he bought it said that no gapping is required bec. it will damage the electrode. What are your thoughts....

The gap on the Iridium is about .044mm.... it's too much of a gap... What is the best gap for maximum result???
