Default spark blowout at high boost??

i got the car tuned today at 16lbs, and we noticed on the dyno, after the car was hot from all the runs, that when we would run it at high boost towards top end (btwn 7k and 8k rpms) it would blow out the spark a bit, but after we let it sit and cool for a bit, then did a run, it was fine. any idea what could all of a sudden be causing this?? its never done this before, and any suggestions on what to do?? i have my NGK plugs gapped to something like .32 or so, i have nology wires, and a nology profire external coil, but that doesnt seem to be doing jack ****...

ditch that nology ****, it sucks.

here's a good example.

keeping it simple.

i just tuned a car that made 565 whp on a stock ignition w/ spark plugs that were gapped at 24.

only thing it had were the ngk plug wires. stock dizzy.

exactly...only thing to upgrade would be to new NGK wires (almost identical to the OEM wires, same maker) NEVER use anything Nology, I had those hotwires back in 97 with my turbo SOHC and got bad misfiring past 4K Rpm..switched back to factory wires and it ran so much better.

2 votes for bringing your plug gap in a little.

I agree. Close the gap on the plugs. On 11.5:1 C/r w/ 12 psi of boost on top of that from a To4e I was running 26 for a gap and would still get a slight spark blowout if the motor was heatsoaked
