Default Spaceturtle's D16 Stroker GT2860 AC compatible

I started this journey in 2021 when my junkyard Z6 bent a rod. This is an AC compatible, fully built stroker D16 with the goals of being a fun street car with plenty of torque.

Build list
  • D16Z6 Block
  • D17 Crank
  • D17 Oil pump
  • B20B harmonic balancer
  • K1 D17 rods
  • YCP Vitara pistons +0.050"
  • Cometic 0.080" headgasket
  • Arp Head studs
  • Stock D16Y8 head
  • Replica Greddy manifold
  • Dual ball bearing Gt2860

The use of the 2mm headgasket is nessisary as the Vitara pistons come out of the block 0.030"

The downpipe, intercooler pipes, and catch can were made by me.

The downpipe is a 3" Oval tube downpipe to clear A/C

I'm yet to get it tuned. I've done a quick and dirty street tune on it for break in and it runs great.

My power goals are around 300whp with more torque than anyone could ever ask for.

300hp is do-able especially with a good turbo and a proper tune. My first initial dyno tune yielded 325hp @ 11.5psi

Your catch can doesn’t hit the hood? Looks kinda high.

300whp is definitely going to be near the limit of my Gt2860. I could definitely go higher on ethanol.

Catch can clears the hood just fine. It's sits rather high to clear the wire harness below and and still be as big as possible. I made it a few weeks ago but it still needs a petcock.

Awesome setup! I'm sure that's a blast to rip around on the street.

Any updates? Did you meet your power goals? Also, where did you find that manifold?
