Default space between turbo and manifold?

Is there supposed to be any sapce between the mounting points on the turbo and the manifold when it's completely tightened? I was just curious because i attatched my turbo to my manifold tonight and there is a very very small gap mabe .5mm but just enough to see some light if you hold it up to a light you can see the light shine through, but barely. Is this normal and would a gasket fix this?
Can i run it like this?

there is not suspoed to be a gap. it should be flush either get both surfaces resurfaced or use a metal gasket

ok...daym this is a brand new turbo and a brand new made manifold....whats wierd is that when it's not bolted, it sits perfectly flush, but when i put in the bolts and lock washers, there is a small gap...wierd...

help me on this one...could it be the lock washers? but, the bolts are as tight as could be.

is the turbo or manifold hitting something when you bolt it all together in the car?

If it bolts together perfectly OUSTIDE the car, it has to be something else.

Lockwashers would not cause this unless your putting them in between the mani and turbo.

Your bolts might be too long.
