Default SOMEONE ANSWER ME THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!!!!!?????

OK, i have a 1995 GSR and im almost done with my turbo project. Im buying Precision 550cc injectors and ive heard from many people that I need a resistor box and then others will say i dont need a box since they are low impedance. Whats the deal guys, anyone know?
Also they should fit into the Stock clips too right?

if the injector is low imp you will need resistor box if the injector is high imp you can use stock driver to fire the injectors

by the way the 550cc are low imp injectors from precision

first ohm the injectors to see if you need one or not. if they are 2-3 ohm, you need a resistor box. if they are 12-13 ohm, then you dont.

u need a digital multimeter that measures resistance in ohms, symbol that looks like a horshoe....... touch the leads with your injectors to find out the resistance......

i would use inline resistors intead of a resistor box, seen resistor boxes go bad because u really never know the condition of one, can cause injectors to fail and kill an engine, i would use inline resistors if u can

Both inline and resistor box will work fine. I used resistor box because I figured honda make them with certain industrial standard while radioshack might make them for hobby purposes. Plus, the resistor box acts as a good heatsink for the heat dissipation and protection.

plus a 10W 10Ohm resistor is frickin big. i think the box is alot cleaner.

These injectors should wire up the same as DSM injectors here are some links

There is another way to get wire them up without hte resistor box, you need individual resistors wired between the injector wires. The resistors are like 2-5 bucks at Radio Shack. If you can't find it here let me know.

especially there are pretty sensitive people here at HT

couldnt he just go buy a set of saturated injectors this way he can bypass all that resistor box stuff. i thought that only peak and hold injectors needed a resistor box and saturated injectors were basicaly just "plug and play" with the additionof OBD clips in some instances??????

i can get 550 peak and hold for $275, while the saturated ones(higher cc) are MORE $. is it really worth the jump in price?

if your car is obd1 or newer, just get the saturated ones. you wont need a box, but if you necessitate higher than 750's, peak and holds are your only option.
