Default Some numbers from the track tonight..........

So we went to the track tonight and got a few runs in.....

First Pic of the Night--> Me being a retard, but still managing to represent HT.com
http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/...3.jpg

Results of my JDM b16a with Precision GT35E Turbo @ 12 psi:
Specs of car tonight:
--Car with half tank of gas (93 Octane), full interior, spare tire, and me in it weighed 2775 lbs. ---Without me, 2625 lbs.

1st-
R/T-.122
60- 2.345
1/8-9.231

MPH-106.45

2nd-
R/T- .008
60- 2.098
1/8- 8.694
1/4- 13.345
MPH-107.13

3rd-R/T- .241
60- 2.074

1/4- 13.813
MPH- 106.68

5th-
R/T- .029
60- 2.594
1/8- 9.284
1/4- 13.938
MPH- 108.61

Still have some room for weight reduction and driving skills being improved, but overall not bad for first time out. Last two runs out there I didn't get in clean just because they were getting ready to close the track and me and the other guy that were racing both did shitty because we felt like we were being rushed. Oh well, there is always another fast friday. If anyone else went to a track this weekend post up some numbers and setups! We should have some vids by tomorrow.

good job to everyone...i see that times were getting better and better as the nite went on...ryan you got that 12 sec pass right around the corner man .

Congrats Brian... ... Awesome times, and the good thing is there is still room for improvement... Some weight reduction, and LSD and BFG's and 12 sec pass is there... Mad props to everyone else who ran, and to Connor wish you coulda run with us... Fun night overall...

My goal last night was to run 12's, the car was ready and capable but I didn't have any seat time in this setup yet, I havent been to the track in almost 2 years, and this was my first time launchign on Bfg's. I didn't get my 12 second timeslip, nor did I get one clean pass, but more importantly I found the sweet spot launching this setup and the Bfg's . It took a few 2.5-3.0 60 fts to find it but I got it down now.

I went from 2.5-3.0 60 ft's at first to 1.9-2.0 by the end of the night

Here rundown of my setup for those that dont know

Turbo Ls
271/252 @ 1 bar
Stock Diff
Bfg's 205/50/15
Car weight 2725 with me in it
2535 without me
Full interior, 1/4 tank of gas

Here a few of my timeslips
1st run(Dont ask)

R/T .522
60 ft .2.776
330 .8.429
1/8 11.966
MPH 71.86
1000 14.915
1/4 17.252
MPH 94.18

Second Run (dont ask)

R/T .041
60 ft 3.030
330 6.784
1/8 9.769
Mph 83.22
1000 12.340
1/4 14.497
MPH 104.91

3rd Run

R/T .141
60 ft 2.506
330 6.380
1/8 9.344
MPH 84.02
1000 11.891
1/4 14.021
MPH 106.19

The next few runs are not even worth posting

6 runs later I hear heavy ticking under the hood and immediatly think valves since I overrevved.
We let the car cool, and pull the valvecover off, and find that a nut on valves had came loose, tightened it up, sealed it back up and back to the staging lanes

all night I couldnt find the sweet spot(launching) for the life of me

Since i've been running slow all night I decide to take off my helmet

Next Run

R/T .270
60 ft 2.247
330 5.964
1/8 8.936
MPH 83.59
100 11.573
1/4 13.805
MPH 101.91

Getting better, but start noticing that now the car feels a little sluggish up top so ill keep an eye out next run.

Next run Notice the 60 ft and the 330, and then look at 1/8 MPH, here is were I found my new problem

R/T .537
60 ft .1.947 aka for I found my sweet spot
330 5.536
1/8 8.548
mph 82.34 WTF
1000 11.147
1/4 13.339
MPH 103.31

Turns out Im leaking boost, once im in 3rd gear and I can actually look at my boost gauge I notice my boost has dropped from 1 bar to .8 bar Im not sure if it's happening from the beginnin of the run, since im watching the rpms closely but something is definetely wrong.

Next run

R/T .445
60 ft 2.021
330 5.677
1/8 8.672
MPH 82.63
1000 11.257
1/4 13.432
MPH 103.93

Again same thing boost is leaking, and it's now hitting just under .8 bar.

Pop the hood and everything looks fine

Last run

R/T .473
60 ft 2.097
330 5.707
1/8 8.688
MPH 83.07
1000 11.268
1/4 13.435
MPH 104.39

We pop the hood trying to find the leak and it turns out im leaking boost from the boost controller(Turbo XS), you can hear it and feel it just leaking through the sides

Overall im happy, not with my tmes but Im glad i got my 60 ft down and especially that 1.9 , so Im gonna get a new boost controller and go back in a few weeks and get my 12 second timeslip

Had a blast guys, and Conner im sorry about your car I really wanted to see your mph

Ryan and Brian

when we had gone to Kennedale I ran a 9.0 at 83mph. Last night I was trapping 82.90, 82.49, 83.19, 82.42, 83.54 in the 1/8.

well I was dissappointed in my times, I figured a swapped and turboed hatch should go 12's easy but not last night.Stupid turbo xs boost controller wont let me hit over a steady .5 bar without spiking first and me hitting boost cut. I'm gonna put in my 8lb WG spring and run off of that next time since it wont spike. Anyways, here's the rundown....
1st run (hit boost cut twice and shutdown)
r/t .424
60 2.117
330 6.086
1/8 9.431
mph 76.3
1000 12.16
1/4 14.389
mph 102.51

2nd run
r/t .127
60 2.173
330 5.773
1/8 8.668
mph 84.94
1000 11.172
1/4 13.284
mph 107.21

3rd run definitely would've been a 12 but I missed 4th
r/t .506
60 2.031
330 5.531
1/8 8.391
mph 82.24
1000 11.124
1/4 13.367
mph 101.86

4th run (best of the night)
r/t .243
60 2.09
330 5.603
1/8 8.439
mph 86.42
1000 10.921
1/4 13.026
mph 106.42

last run
r/t .471
60 2.158
330 5.743
1/8 8.621
mph 85.29
1000 11.120
1/4 13.226
mph 107.23

Ryan

you got your driving down, your setup is perfect. I think going to the 8 lbs spring will be your best mod. It sucks because of that spike you have to run less boost(which is keeping you out of the 12's)

Lets get our **** together and well hit up the next Fast friday, Ill check to see when it is.

My plans for next time is to take out some weight(Recaros & back seats) and maybe another 20-30 lbs from the car, and make some clean passes at full boost and I should easily get into the 12's

you did good man! your car is light and with no boost cut you should hit a 12 easliy.

Let's get a big caravan setup for the Next Fast Friday and go down there. It was perfect last night b/c it wasn't crowded at all!

Next time we go to the track I think you guys are all going to come home w/ 12 seconed street tire time slips.

Brian if you loose some wieght and get some good bfg's you will do it for sure. Iggy if you loose some wieght and put on that boost controller im gonna let you borrow you will do it too. Ryan if you put that 8lb spring in and make your 4th gear you will have it.. I had to wait from november to june to get my 12 sec pass, you ***** can wait 3 weeks!!!!

and it sucks that connor broke that axle, I think we all wanted to see what his mph would be. I wanted to see if my hp/weight calculator in my head was working well too.. hopefully he doesn't give up.. Get that axle warrantied, fix that wheel bearing, and torque those axle nuts down to SPEC.. you should be ok.
