Default some guy had to put regular in...*Updated* not fixed

so im pretty sure one of my local gas stations put regular in my boosted ls-vtec i hate having someone else pump gas

so i believe i was at about a quarter tank so the guy put about another quarter of regular in with the premium the car is fully tuned for premium.

as of right now i went out and topped it off with premium about halftank giving me a full tank

im getting really rich air/fuels about 11 to the bottom of the aem air/fuel gauge(10) in green just holding a steady cruise..

how should i go by getting rid of the regular i just put the premium too top it off about 5 miles ago will it eventually burn it up? should i drive it pretty much till its dry?? just do not wanna burn up my brand new motor with less than 5k on it.. any replies help! thanks!

^ hell yeah it is lol. another idea is to throw a gal. of toluene in to raise yur octane up. has a 114 rating and has no adverse affects

its not really good for your fuel pump to run it empty. they use the gas they are submerged in to help with heat dissipation. you might be better off draining the gas you have in out and use it for the lawnmower or regular car...

Couple things come into play here- how much boost are you running? Whats the compression ratio? Do you beat the **** out of your engine? How well was the car tuned? Does it have the knock sensor still?

Given the average case scenario your probably just fine. I wouldn't worry about it too much. I wouldn't add any additives to increase the octane (other than fuel, maybe some unleaded 109 depending on availability, if your that worried about it) as that will just foul the plugs out.

But more importantly, how safe is your tune to even begin with if your crusing around with air fuel readings of 11:1 > richer?! If your not in boost there is no reason to be cruising at an a/f ratio like that ever.

i just got it a couple weeks ago..

ran the regular out and now just got all premium and its still occasionally doing it mostly now its reading and holding about a 13.0 cruising but at idle sometimes still drops down too 10.5-10.0 if not it ready correctly at 14.6-15.0

its a fully tuned p28 on chrome pro normally it always ran 14.6-15.0 at cruising and at an idle it just randomly started up a couple days ago..im also thinking that their never was regular in it...

i was told that it might be that the plugs fouled up..would that cause the air/fuel readings too act up?

i could be. with fouled plugs your air fuel mixture might not be getting a full burn in the cylinder sending raw fuel out the exhaust showimg a rich mix on your o2. wouldn't hurt to try it. how long has it been since you've changed them? In my experience ive been able to get about a good 3k-4k on them before needing changed and that's pushin it.

If it was me I would drain the tank and fill up with the correct octane. I know gas is expensive, but its better the ruining a motor.

iv ruled out the possibility that someone put regular in after a couple tanks of premium and its still doing it

what would cause my ride too suddenly be fine one moment than rich the next without me changing anything fully tuned??

i put new plugs cleaned a bunch of sensors could the o2 sensor that the ecu runs off be causing it?
