Default SOHC turbo help....

now if i have my D16y8 bottom end rebuilt what should i get done(rods, pistons, rings???). also what would i need for a custom turbo, i'm not sure of all the componants that i'd need. but i figure this would be cheaper then a full turbo kit... thanxx for the help!!

You'll want forged rods, pistons, rings, bearings, gasket kit, and either block posts, block guard or sleeves.

Search on the turbo stuff, there's a lot of info here.

it depends in what you are looking to do with your car.
also what are you hp goals? these are things you have to ask yourself and answer.
kits are there is you just wanna "slap" on a turbo..
custom setup can be had for same $$ as kit or slighty more but you will be getting what you want..

i had looking into all kits out for the d16 (i have a 00 Ex), and also priced out custom kits.. either way going turbo is $$$..

do a various searchs in the archives and you will come up with info..
