Well they are liable for the block. If they show that it was recieved but never made it to your house, they bought it. Hopefully it was insured.

Know it s not UPS, but Fed-Ex has bought 2 carbon fiber hoods (same shipment) and 1 AFC. They are quite the import enthusiest.

UPS around here was a big fan of forging my signature on "request signature" deliveries valued at $100-1000, and leaving the parcels on the front porch for me to roll home from work at 11 pm to find - or not find. I lived, at that time, in a pretty low-rent neighborhood. It was safe, but I was a half mile from the hood and you just didn't leave valuables laying around. I could never get anybody in UPS to respond directly when I complained, I gave up on them and use any shipper but them.

Recently, I had a two different Digikey shipments misdelivered to the local primary school, blocks away. The boxes are addressed to me, get dropped off there, and the last UPS "customer rep" I called about it was bitchy and claimed that was where the package was addressed.

My friend Travis worked at UPS, and he had all sorts of stupid stories about how they operated, the sort of things you'd expect to hear on http://www.fuckedcompany.com/. They definitely aren't the company they were before the strike.

It's probably sitting in a dark corner somewhere...I used to work at UPS and we would find old **** laying all over the place. Especially big boxes and crates.

This isnt UPS either, but I shipped a warranty return to "B18C1_T" via USPS, and they pretty much laughed at me when I went to see where the **** it was at. Looks like you will be getting a brand new manifold in around two weeks shipped UPS. They are the only company that Ive had good luck with.

Don't give up on ups to quick.I had a disassembled b18 shipped to me and the box made it to my local depot and then destroyed on the conveyor belt. They ship all the misc. stuff to a central warehouse.I gave them some photo's of what the stuff looked like.Three days later the parts arrived in a heavy duty box red label.Wished I gave them some turbo photo's just to see if they shipped me some of those too.

I got scared when my motor was shipped fedex. Somehow the label got scraped off slightly and it wouldn't scan the tracking info so it so i stopped getting tracking info and thought it was lost. I showed up a couple days later.

don't mean to scare ya but UPS sucks ****!! first they threw my turbo on my doorstep...come on now...$600 of pure performance slammed on my doorstep and bounces off my screen door!! i was upstairs and saw everything!! either myself or someone home was suppose to sign for the item as well...but it seems as though he forged my signature and took off. luckly the turbo was packed securely and no damage was done.

the second time around i bought a carbon fiber hood from an older guy and he shipped it in it's original package. when the package arrived at my doorstep they also left it there with no signature. luckly i came home for lunch and saw it there on my doorstep. looked over the box and there were dents everywhere! scared to death i quickly opened the box and checked over the hood...and what do you know, the driver side hindge area was broken off!! i contacted UPS right away and they picked it up the next day. the following day the shipped it back to me saying that they'd put in a claim form for it. a week later i call'em up and nothing...no one filed anything for the damage and they told me that the guy who i bought the hood from has to file a claim and that i couldn't do sqwat!! WTF!! i bought the damn hood!! i paid for it!! so i call the other guy and he files a claim...they pick up the hood again and send it back. after that...nothing. damn i hate UPS!!

sorry just had to vent.

anyway, good luck bro...i really hope you get your motor back!! my buddy works at UPS and they've known people who have stolen computers and valuable items from there without getting caught.
