Default So think i blew a ringland ...

Friday night i get dynoed and go from 190 hp to 265 at the wheels by advancing the intake cam 4 degrees (dizzy ended up at 15 degrees ) fine tuning wiht the vfac (no more than + or _ 10%) and a turbo edit pm6 with a bin kinda rich and retarded (.33 degrees per lbs)

The next day im hammering my car and i see a ton of whitish grey smoke out the exhaust when i hammer it. Along with this there is some smoke coming out off the breather. That night a bolt falls out and i **** up my timing belt and the intake cam ends up 75 degrees andvance, so i change the belt and go for a drive. It starts right up and i got for a ride. The car dies ones for no reason and a charge pipe i had to remove blew off.
Today (monday morning) i drive to work and all of a sudden when i come to a stop the car dies, along with driving shitty. So i go home now the car is really shitty and tons of grey white smoke are pooring out of the hood and the exhaust. Get home check compression, (1,2,3,4) its 200,180,180,50. So i open the radiator, its clean and no bubbles with the car running. Would u save its safe that piston 4 is shot and the headgasket (only 2500 miles) is good?

well since the intake cam got thrown off it could also be a bent valves or something but the way to be sure is a leakdown test.

but when you have smoke comin out the breather on the valve cover, 99.9 % you blew your ring lands. happen to one of my buddies 3 time and just happen to another one friday night. but his had none comin out the exhaust. were you runnin a b16? you picked up that much power from cam adjusting?

sorry about your engine. that **** sucks

so what should i do, ive been wanting to do a sleaved gsr bottom end with cp pistons, or to keep it kinda buget get some cp pistons and maybe some rods and rock the stock sleaved b16. How much hp is possible (safe) with the stock b16a and pistons and rods, and what compression is recommeded (9.8 or 9.0)

my setup inline pro maifold, tial 38 and innovative t3/t4 57 .63 a/r
