So OBX Copied The Apexi Intercooler!!!
I'm really mad about this for the Apexi inercooler i loved from day one and used to owning one, i wish i could afford to get it again, but I can't. I have to settle for a greddy FMIC.

anyway: it doesn't look bad. anyone know how it "go"s?

You guys do realize that OBX isn't making any of this stuff. They're just buying into a manufacturers whether it be low quality or not and putting their name on it.

Re: (integlspwr2k)
Who really gives a ****?? Not everybody wants to break backs and make new world records. This just gives more options for people who don't sink every last penny they have in their car. Not everybody wants a 400+whp turbo monster. Everytime I hear SSAC I hear a bunch of cry babies complaining about their stuff. Nobody is putting a gun to anyones head to buy anything. We are all grown (at least I hope so) and can make sound decsions for ourselves. I am pretty confident to say they are no retards in here, so just chalk it up to more variety which makes the sport that much better for everybody. Whats one mans garbage is anothers mans treasure.

Whether or not it's a copy doesn't matter, it's whether or not is quality that should count. If it is, consider it another viable cost effecient altrnative for us
BTW, looking at the end tanks and the direction of the inlet/outlet, looks like a copy of an Evo VIII FMIC.

people here take **** very personal, as if they the ones who came out with the original design
obx copied this , obx copied that
for the money u spend on their products, u r getting more than u deserve
end of discussion

it just looks weird
I wonder if the welds will break off the end tanks, next we'll see posts on people trying to brace the IC endtankc b.c of they are falling off

I'm sure this was meant to be a joke, but seriously, Obx doesn't even manufacture anything i'm sure. They just buy into the manufacturing. I bet these intercoolers will perform just fine.

hey its an intercooler... im sure it'll work just fine... its not like these things are made with moving parts where everything needs to be made of top notch ****. and unlike an manifold it does not support a heavy *** turbo which will cause the **** to crack, and it flows much cooler air so no need to worry about the metal corroding like on a shitty made manifold

in a way you are right. as long as it contains the pressure it will "work" but there are ICs out there, ahem Street Imports! aheaghhh (excuse me) that have horrible designs that would barely cool the air. The design of the turbulators is key. i'de like to see an internal shot of this thing.

Surprised only one person pointed out that ya'll are comparing a bar and plate (apex) to a less expensive, less efficient tube and fin design (OBX).
Either way... most i/c brands prolly don't even make their own cores... guys, you can go out and buy a core and make your own i/c's too... geez... it's not rocket science.
