lung and throat cancer?? I guess that's why the smell "goes away after awhile"... probably the same for the sound, it just leaves a long aching in the head that I just got used to.

 

a little OT, but ART. you never told me what mandrel bends to get for my downpipe while you were here, i guess we were just having too much fun, especially with you and that homeless guy. haha anyways Viren told me to get a 45 degree followed by a 180 u bend, but what center radius measurement?

 

To me, it sounds like ****....Well, you do hear the turbo a lot better. Sounds like....hmm....a semi-truck? But the rest of the sound is best described by me as a really pissed off snorting hog amplified x 10. That's what mine sounded like.

I had it like that twice, each for a day. Drove right by highway patrol on the side of the road, and I was really surpised they didn't come after me. It definitely got their attention.

No matter how you drive with this setup, it is loud. Even with your foot on the throttle just applying like a 1/2 pound of force, it growls and grunts and everybody looks. At full throttle, it's even louder but sounds mean!

 

how would it sound when VTEC hits?

 

Yea, I think that maybe they recognize that the open downpipe means serious power in the making and not "look at me" b/c I'm loud and raunchy in my mom's sporty corrolla. Or maybe they're just waiting for a speeding fart-can b/c they're less likely to show up in court.

 

Damn, I drove my car home on no DP and holy **** people! It does sound like a deranged dump truck on crack!!! Whoa! Hehe, I had some walkers wrenching their necks to get a glimpse of what the hell was making that god-awful sound!! LOL!!

 

The thing you gotta love about open dp is it spools fast as hell and thats all you here. The swooshing of the turbo spooling. Sounds sick.
