so cal
i just moved to so cal and i want a good place to get an engine swap done... my friend recommends i get a gsr cuz i wanna turbo it... but when i asked about a turbo h22.... he said he didnt kno much about it... can anyone help me out with any info about the advantages and disadvantages of both the b18 and h22 turbo.. and any shops where i can get my engine and tranny done

You're going to have to lurk around these boards for information...
But to get started:
H22: without new sleeves it won't handle much more than 7-8 psi; Forged pistons cannot be used with stock sleeves, but if you resleeve I figure you'll be running more boost - get forged pistons.
- More torque, but boost gives you decent torque anyway.
- More displacement = little better for spooling larger turbos. For a more streetable turbo, this won't matter much.
- Cheaper, but when using boost, might end up being more expensive...because of the need to resleeve and all
B18C: Can handle a little more boost on stock internals.
- High revving fun
- Popular choice for boost, more parts available.
