Snap Intake valve spring, what cause this?
Hi, Recently in a third pull my car fall in his face, when I press the clutch barely made idle. Pull it to my house and made a compression test 0 cyl #4.
Remove the cover to find one valve spring in 5 parts two the outer 3 the inner and the other intake spring the outer broke in two. Take the head out and the valve barely touch the piston (she was bend and stuck in close position).
I bought the two springs. But before assembly all I want to know what can cause this kind of failure?
Any help will be appreciated.

389whp @ 17psi 8,500RPM
GSR cams
B16a head
Ls block 9.0:1 SRP, Eagle Rods
Rocket SL dual springs, S/S retainers from hypersonicAuto
I swapped my Type R cams for the GSR's recently and valve lash was made. Also replaced the rocket arms but in the exhaust side.

Re: Snap Intake valve spring, what cause this?
I've heard a lot of Rockets springs have been breaking (not like all at once but I've seen a few topics regularly about sets breaking). I have an earlier set that snapped an inner on a built all motor b16 during break in.
IIRC it's always the inners that break with some of the earlier stuff, not sure why though. You need to contact him on here.
