Default smokes after idle

alright I am not really sure what is causing my car to smoke on idle. its been tuned hardcore by mase and he is the ****. the only thing that I can think of is that oil is just sitting in my return line then burning up.just let me know what you guys think or any ideas in the right direction. okay so if my car has been of then I start it it wont smoke for a while (until it gets hot) but also if I drive it maybe 30 sec- a few minutes then idle it will smoke this white smelly smoke smells like oil and maybe some gas. the odd thing is if I drive for a good 10-15 minutes I dont get that smoke. but if I havent washed my car in a while I can see these black particles on the rear of my car, I can also see these if I put my hand close to the end of the exhaust when I start it and let it run for a little while.

again any help would be greatly appreciated.

So:

1) No smoke at startup. Then it can't be the engine burning oil.
2) Smoke occurs after 30 seconds. The only thing that changes after 30 seconds is that the manifold, turbo, and downpipe get hot.
3) No smke after 15 minutes or so. So that means it is a limited amount of oil burning.

From those symptoms, I would conclude that the oil is coming from the turbo. Only a small amount of oil, but enough is getting into the exhaust to make it "dirty". The next time you start the car, that oil that leaked burns out, and then it runs basically clean until you let it cool down again and a little more oil gets into the exhaust from teh turbo.

I would take the downpipe off and look at how dirty it, and the turbine wheel is. If that is the problem you can just run a little no-smoke or a heavier weight oil until you have the money to rebuild the turbo.

hey thanks for the help next time I change my oil on will check on that. the only other thing that I could think that it was would be a sag on my return line. and instead of it going back to the sump it gets hot and burns up.

Your return line is most likely the problem. It's causing the seals to leak in the turbo.

Mine does the exact same thing. My return line has a weird bend, plus my oil pan is tapped a little too low. God I hate smoke at idle

you shouldn't have a sag. it should be straight into the oil pan so flow is straight. post some pics. have you verified that oil is coming out on the exhaust side?
