Default smoke..

i went to start my car today after it sat there for two days. It started to smoke, and smoked more with the throttle. Cant really say what color just that it was lightish. This like the third time I've noticed and as far as i can tell only during start up. Should i be worried, and what could it be?

have someone follow you and get on the gas, what color is it?

is the smoke when your on the gas or getting off the gas and how much?

blown headgasket... if it's white perhaps

blue if it's oil

black if it's fuel

Spun rod bearing perhaps?

check the charge pipe and look for generous amounts of oil in it.. possibly a turbo seal?

Compression test is first priority... numbers should be around plus or minus 20 of the highest and lowest numbers... bad rings... or bent valves perhaps?

correct me if im wrong guys...

yeah, im gonna have someone follow me today. The color is hard to say except its definately not black. You can see it when u step on the gas, once u let off it goes away(just noticeable if u stare hard@idle). It was smoking pretty heavily. I can hear some kind of thrushing, thud sound. I had a shop do a comp check(about 2 weeks ago)and he got 165 across, said the numbers might be higher since his gauge usually reads low .

I checked the plugs they seem fine, black. Sorry man which ones the charge pipe, and thanks for the reply.

If you are getting a lot of white smoke it could be the headgasket. I would check your oil and see if there is anti-freeze in there and as well as oil in the anti-freeze. Even the tiniest leak in the headgasket can cause a lot of blow by or smoke.

sorry. charge pipe goes from the I/C to the throttle body.. it's all charged, but anywhere after the turbo ... to see if there's alot of oil...

alright I had someone follow today. For a while, she didnt notice anything, all of a sudden she said she noticed three puffs of a whiteish-greyish smoke. Checked the oil(dipstick), it looks fine reg level. Checked the water, was really full i did see some little gunk floating, almost looked like anti-seize. Ill check the pipes when it cools down outside. what do u guys think? Is my head gasket about to give, and would there be any prob's driving it like this (no boost). thx.
