Default A small concern with warm start-ups.

My car starts/idles fine, havent driven yet..

Warms up to operating temp about 185 F, and idles at 900rpm. During warm-up its around 1900-1200rpm.

Its stock gsr block, 780's, edelbrock IM, 70mm STR TB..

Now, when its cold, it fires right up perfect everytime.. When its hot, I have to blip the gas before i turn the key quickly then start it.. If i dont, it has a hard time starting.

Its almost like the TB sticks closed when its hot.. Is this a possibility..

Once i 'blip' it before i turn the key.. it requires no throttle to start, and starts/runs normally.

What do you all think?

IACV (Idle Air control valve) controls the air for idle so the throttle could "Stick" all it wants but that's not doing it. What are you tuned on? I've had this happen and it's because I was too lean on my startup mixture.

Its untuned.. I know I know, Just trying to get all the bugs worked out.. Its only been on the road 2 days so far.

I have a WB02 hooked up, out of boost its around 13-14:1 and cold idle is the same, warm idle is also the same.

Its only at 7psi right now, and untuned i dont really like boosting.. I only did once in 2nd gear up to about 5500rpm, but its impossible to watch the road + the screen on the WB02 so I didnt want to risk it.

Now back to my hot no start.. Is it possible that the lines on the IACV could be hooked up backwards.. would this make a difference?

Thanks

I have the same problem since I put my 680 instead of the 450cc.
Never find a way to stop it, but not search alot .
I find out that if I give it a lil shot of starter and after try to strat it's beter, if not when it's hot, I may not be able to start it even if I crank it like 8 second.

Guys, change your enrichment values a little higher and the problem will go away.

For those of you using Crome, Use the crank fuel compensation table in the advanced tables.. U can adjust cranking fuel depending on the ect temp .. Just tweak that and U should get a good start up at any temp..
