Default Sleeving engine block

Yes I already searched, and it didn't answer my question. Ok, Im rebuilding my engine for turbo and I am going to sleeve my block with the Godzilla sleeves. I have to use a different block, as mine is in my car and I need to drive it! So, Im sleeving to 84.5mm and obviously need to find just a block with a crank, and have been having trouble finding a b18a/b for like around $200. Ok so my question is can I use the b16 block? Will the crank be the same as the b18? I already bought my rods, so it has to fit a b18. Has anyone had a b16 sleeved to 84.5mm and know if the crank is the same, OR if I can use the b18 crank in it? I see allot of b16's for sale, thats why I ask. Any and all comments are welcome, TIA!

the b18b's crank has a longer stroke, making it a 1.8, therefore if you get the b16 it will have a shorter stroke, therefore it wont work. i agree with slowass4dr keep looking. have you tried http://www.thepartstrader.com

yeah, I dont know if you guys remember that guy from ECI racing, but i made a post and he replied. This was a while ago but it turns out I got ripped off for $60. He never responded to emails or phone calls. He had a good deal too. $200 shipped for a block with 60,000 miles and a crank. Well thanks for the post Ill keep looking, I didnt even think of the stroke.

Well besides the stroke the deck heights are different between b16 and b18.

Hey man, i have a b18b block with a cracked sleeve, but the crank is still good. You plan on getting it resleeved anyways so it wouldn't matter that the sleeve is cracked. This is just the bare block with crank. E-mail me if interested. Thanks, Paul

TurboD16Z6: Yes I'm interested, tell me how much you are looking to get for that shipped to Illinois. Also I will only use Escrow, as I have already been scammed once!

VaporTrail: Yeah thats the same guy, he went under a name SpoonLSVtec or somethin like that. It happened awhile ago, so Im not worried about it. Plus I was able to scam ECI back for an Skunk2 oil cap, I didn't need it but wanted to make sure I got somethin out of it. Thanks anyways!

Ray: How many miles on it? Im going to see if the other guy will go through with the deal, if not then I will email you. That's a little over my budget, and I really only need a block and crank. Thanks!
