Default Sleeving B16a

I have a built block with JE 9.1 comp pistons and Eagle H beam rods "stock bore" but its not sleeved. Is it possible to keep the same pistons etc and sleeve it, would it be worth it. What do you think a ball park figure on cost would be?

Sup Nick, nah you will not be able to keep the same pistons wich sucks you would have to match them to the new sleeves. Sicne your motor is built I've seen many people run stock sleeves up to 450+ and sometimes even more so I would just keep what you have for now you should be straight.

Anyone near Colo to help me tune my car when I get back? The only person I know is in Raleigh and **** going up there everytime I need to tune my car. I got it tuned right before I left@280HP I was pretty happy. But I only got to drive it for 4 days before I came here

I've never had a block sleeved, but don't you match the bore to the piston? Not the other way around. You should be able to use your old pistons...

If you have 81.5MM pistons then whoever is sleeving and assembling your motor should be competent enough to bore the sleeves to 81.5MM, put new rings in the pistons, and install them in the new motor provided they are not worn heavily.

Yeah its not too bad here, it would be a lot better if my wife and daughter were here. She just had my daughter in May and I've seen my daughter for a week when she was born. I won't see her until Feb. so that sucks but other than that its pretty cool. Getting drunk outside the gate is always nice . Yeah I'm just gonna through this block in and go, thanks guys
