sk2 stage II for boost
I'm running a gsr block with wiseco pistons and scat rods plus arp bolts/studs on the rods, mains, and head. Brian crower dual springs and retainers and just picked up a set of sk2 tuner series stage II cams tonight. Anyways my question is are these good for a boosted setup and secondly is it a must to have adjustable cam gears or will I see gains over stock gsr cams just using oem gears. I'm aiming for 400whp using an sc34 on whatever psi it takes and a blox cast manifold. All the other supporting stuff is there. 3" dp and full exhaust with no cat. 2.5" ic pipes and bigger intercooler 27x10x3 1000cc precision injectors and walbro 255 fuel pump. Thanks in advance.

my dyno (on pump92 octane)
11psi 390hp/245tq
15 psi 465hp/284tq
my setup:
NON-sleeved gsr block, 81.5 wiseco 10:1 pistons, eagle rods, gsr crank
portflow head with sk2 st2 cams, sk2 intake mani, 70mm tb (intake ported to match)
spoolin ramhorn, garrett 60-1, 3 in exhaust, 2.5in charge piping.
using 780cc injectors,255 walbro 2.5 bar motorola map, tuned on crome free.
i kept the bin file, so if people want my fuel and timing maps they can buy it cheap

Did you do any type of adjustable cam gears or is that with stock cam gears? Did you degree the cams or are they just installed and that's it?

S2 stage II is way to big a cam for that setup. You should trade them for the stage I cams. The primary lobs are pretty much the same as ITRs but with a bigger vtec lobe that will make a little more power than the ITRs. Jeff Evans did a thread on this.
If I'm not mistaken the stage II cam is bigger than the pro1s and even the pro1s shouldn't be used until you live around the 500whp+ world.

Well that's not good to hear. Anyone else have experience with these cams?
Jdm Itr - Intake (lift / duration) 11.5mm / 240 Exhaust (lift / duration) 10.5mm / 235
Sk2 Stage 1 'tuner' - Intake (lift / duration) 11.9mm / 264 Exhaust (lift / duration) 11.0mm / 259

Here is some reading for you. When I was saying stage I, I meant tuner1s. That's what I have sitting on the shelf waiting to go in my car.

Re: sk2 stage II for boost
Good info. It did say though that the tuner 2s are basically equal to the pro 1s except for increased wear on the valvetrain and less gains in midrange spool. I picked these up for a great price so I'll hold onto them and see if I can trade them out for some tuner 1s or just sell them.
