Default Which size precision, and why...

What Precision turbo would be the best fit for a built B18 in your opinion and why? Was going to go with the PT6262 CEA but wanted to see if anyone had any other opinions...

Before u pick a turbo you need to set a hp goal with a specific type of fuel.

With a a fully build b18c a precision 6262 will make around 700whp on e85/race gas and about 400-500whp on 91/93 octane.

I'd steer clear of precision myself... maybe a nice Garrett unit, or even contact The Shodan for some excellent advice and turbos

need power goals... but for the 500 range the 5858 makes great power and very good spool up time.

400-500hp on pump gas is the goal... the rest of the motor is complete, just missing the turbo. My list of parts is on my profile if it helps. want it to be somewhere between a DD and weekend vehicle...

hoo boy.. So which is it? 400whp on 91-93 octane? or 500whp on 91-93 octane? The turbocharger choices change dramatically at that point between the two power references. I'll give you a hint... (its much better to stay within the lower region on pump gas using a smaller sized turbocharger than to use something in the larger-midframe series, and basically be out accelerated by a Geo Prism)
