simple question:what boost controller to use?
easy question
i need something that is easy to setup, reads in psi,
and is extremly accurate.
i also, dont really want to spend more than 350 dollars
i was looking at the NLR-ams500, but i dont quite understand how it puts pressure on the wastegate. unfortunaly the lack of an instrucion manual online does not help either.
thanks guys

How are you liking NIStune? My experience was the end result ran well, but the GUI was a crashfest.
I recommend a multi-stage MBC, actually. Most of the electronic options are either frustratingly unreliable, $$$, or I haven't experienced them yet.

we use the NLR products on anything we can. if you cant get perfect boost control every single time, than you know there is a problem with your set up, NOT the controller.
here is an AMS-500 on an 810whp S2000

ams-1000 in my car. last year made 860whp and went 9.5@160

i like the AMS-1000 so much, i even have one set up just to use on the dyno.

here is a car i tuned using my dyno NLR, then we put the customers manual boost controller back on. notice the difference in the graph, thats boost stability. same peak boost level

here is a car i was just playing around with to show how you can control the boost numerous times through out the gear.
bofore playing

with different ramps, targets, and stages

close to the same peak power and boost---but using a ramp rate, you can see how it could greatly help with traction as it was able to kill power and torque in the mid range. perfect for a fwd car in low gears.
needless to say, i suggest the NLR products. if you have any specific questions, feel free to PM me.

greddy profec B spec 2, profec type S
I run the type S , and my run the b spec 2.
the S is very simple and easy to use without a display.
the B is very complicated to setup but have a display. they both cost the same price. and have option for wireless remote HI-LO boost switching capability.
I must add I got mine for free because the previous owner did not know how to hook it up correctly and though it was not working. I love it.

The AMS-500 looks promising. When I dont have the option to use a solenoid with the management I like to use the Blitz SBC i-D in manual mode
