Simple question
Me and a friend were talking tonight about boosting a vtec motor. I noticed when i bought my VAFC that it said that if boosted you want to have a higher engagment point and NA lower. Why is that? Wouldnt you want to engage lower so that it would help the turbo spool faster? Just wondering, anyone want to school me on this?
where vtec is set depends on the setup. you cant just say boost likes it higher and NA likes it lower. where the low cam runs out of breath will determine vtec x-over.
Well i was reading a mag and it said that NA motors are lower set and boosted are higher. Im really just wondering why, cuz in my mind, wouldnt you want the vtec to help spool the turbo faster?
