I've been up to the shop the last 3 days just cleaning out the bay and degreasing. Thanks to Mainstream Performance for letting me gets some hands on and using their tools.

Today I went up there for like an hour or so and removed a few more unnecessary things from the bay.

He will be wiring up the engine and dropping it in Monday or Tuesday. And then on to fabricating IC piping and exhaust. As well as hooking everything up and getting it running and ready for the tune.

It won't be done as soon as I hoped because he is going out of town for 3 days next week....so no work during that time!

But I will keep the updates coming and of course post the numbers and vids!

"TheShodan" - I have a question for you... This turbo has been brought up to me by some local kids; Is there a ball bearing option in the "Silver Surfer" format? If so, what is the price. Thank you for your time and help.

PS - If you don't want to post the information publicly, feel free to PM me.

typically -3AN is used for the oil feed.

Like any other turbo, oil pressure must be measured. Anything above 80psi at cold start or WOT, requires a .065" restrictor.

Make sure you check oil pressure at startup, ensure that the turbine housing bolts are nice and tight (as well as compressor housing bolts.

No 90 Degree angles on the return line. no kinks or bottle necks. You need -10AN (1/2 inch) line to do it. Have your oil pressure gauge hooked up at the time of start up. If its over 80psi of oil pressure, be careful.

Prime the turbo with a few quick pulses of the starter without the fuel pump engaged.

Good luck

SHODAN - All is checked and ready to go! I will let him know about the priming when I get up there. I'll be leaving work in about 20 minutes and heading to the shop.

RICH - Once again...I will keep you posted! I will get some better pics today and hopefully a decent video.

Maybe just maybe...the tuning will be tomorrow. But most likely it will be this weekend. The tuning guy wont be around Thurday and Friday.

But we'll see!!!!

I would of though it would of been pushing more than that at 19psi. I was at 272whp at 10psi.

Sounds like a similar intercooler problem.. might not be efficient enough. I expected a bit more, however all dynomometers read differently.

*EDIT* I was just thinking.. BOOST LEAK? Usually 328whp is made by about 12-15psi..

When are you seeing full boost? If later then usual wouldn't that be an indicator of a boost leak somewhere. I know the surfer is pretty responsive from everything Ive seen.

Tuning went well...no problems at all. Small oil leak from cam seal popped up today. Will be fixing that this weekend. No boost leaks.

May be intercooler issue as shodan mentioned. May not be efficient enough. And like I said...it was almost 100 degrees in there. I will find the specs on intercooler...I bought it from the tuning guy, and told him what shodan had previously told me in PMs. And the guy said it will work fine for my goals.

Full boost seems to be around 4500ish - cant really say for sure though b/c I'm too busy paying attention to the road.

But I think the heat had a lot to do with it. GA heat and humidity suck. The guy that tuned after me yesterday, he went up on the dyno again today since it was about 9-10 degrees cooler today and pulled 20 extra whp without changing anything.

However, I am extremely happy with the results. The car is a BLAST to drive. Never owned a turbo honda or any car with over 150wheel hp. And in my head before it was done...I didn't think even if I got 375+whp that it would be as fast as it is now. I will be looking in to a new IM and either ITR or some s2 stage 1 camshafts here soon. And if need be...look into another FMIC. Any updates I get I will let you guys know. And once again I will post vids up soon. Still don't have my camera.

Damn...I thought I updated this when my sleeve cracked.

Anyways, quick update. If anyone cares. Figured RICH may want to see it. The last setup cracked a sleeve after 1 month.

Bought a full built & sleeved LSV (bored to 83mm) from a buddy with about 800 miles on it. Put all the same turbo stuff on along with the same fuel setup. Made 310 on wastegate - 375 on 15lbs - 430hp on 19lbs

Been running like a champ for 1 month. It's awesome.
