Default Shot peening????

how much more hp will stock b18b rods handle is they are shot peened? I have heard that they can handle 300 without having it done. Also how much does it normally cost to have it done.

I'm all for ghett0ness, but I think Sirkid is right on this one. Shotpeening is easy to do wrong also, and if done wrong, it can weaken your rods. Make sure you go to a reputable place that has mucho experience shot peening rods if you decide to do it.

If done right, the rod strength should double.

considering you can get a set of Eagle rods for around $325, you are probably better off getting some aftermarket stuff.

im inclined to agree. y not just put in aftermaket rosd to begin with and save time and money. when the shot peened ones fail......how much is a new block gonna cost?
