any news yet? Damn I'm so anxious to hear the news. I never posted a sorry message earlier cause everytime I read this post I got so pissed I would go load a shotgun and sit in my car. But I kept checking back praying to see something new. God damn I am so freaking happy. Its 3 a.m. here and I just woke everyone up in my house cause I was screaming HELL YEAH THEY FOUND HIS ******* CAR! I'm glad to see your back and I hope and pray the car is in perfect condition! Good luck man, and let us all know whats up when you get home!

Damn I'm fairly new to this board, but I read every post in this topic and I'm so happy they found the car! **** THIEVES! I've had a car stolen/vandallized/stolen again before. Such a horrible feeling...like they stole a piece of your heart. Keep us posted man, maybe this guy didn't get a chance to do anything with the car before they cought him!

Well, I missed nearly this whole thread since I don't check on FI forum very often.. but I just wanted to add my .02.
Stan, I haven't been on this board long enough to really know who you are, but I must extend my sympathy to you for your loss. I really hope your car is undamaged, and that you are able to recover as soon as possible. I don't know when/how you're coming to Texas, but if you end up anywhere near Odessa, TX and need a place to crash for the night, you are more than welcome to stop in.
I must say that I have never seen the kind of brotherhood and support that exists on this forum anywhere else on the internet in my life. I am not ashamed to admit it brought tears to my eyes to see the donations and the condolences from the people on this forum. From my short membership here, I have seen some of the most helpful, understanding and knowledgeable people on cars on the internet. I am proud to have the privilege and honor of being able to reside here in such company. I can clearly see why so many non-Honda owners spend their time here, and I have nothing but the upmost respect for this board.
From a fellow Texan, the best wishes and hope for your car and your future.
If the rest of you haven't heard already, Dado of Tekademics, driver of the yellow BMW in the Gumball 3k had his distinctive car stolen while in NYC. I guess it's just a bad time for losing cars.

Stan just called me and here is the update. For some reason, this dumb *** must have thought the car was now his.
-He took off the Slip streams and put on 18" rims!
-Installed some JL audio 12" subs in a band pass box
-PUT ON A DOUBLE decker WING (aluminum)!!
-Put a big dent in the rear 1/4 pannel the size of a basketball
-Intalled 98+ rear all red lights, since he had the one with amber on it.
-Stan had rear bumber damage, so he repainted. *shrug*
-He relocated the wideband 02 monitor somewhere else.
The motor is ok. There was no signs of forceable entry. We think he may have gotten a key with the vin#. All gauges where also still intact, but the bad thing is that all his personal belongings were gone. The cds, the letter he wrote to someone special, and the item given to stan by his dad. He is on his way to the jail as we speak to see if he can talk to the guy and get his stuff back. He wants his rims and the more personal belongings back.

good deal. glad it wasn't so bad.....so far......... the vin#/key making trick is widespread. i always cover the dashboard vin with black electrical tape. at least the numbers can't be read from outside of the car. cops don't particularly like it, but they understand after you explain it to them and they run your car and it comes back clean. does the job.
heres a few
for stan.

hrmmm...wow, that could quite possibly be the single most pitiful act of stupidity ever...why would you steal a car and drive it around?? like no one is ever gonna know about it...he was definately incognito on that one
Good thing those guys WERE stupid. Or else the car would have been strippped and gone forever.
Hope he gets everything back.
