Serious valve tap issues, need help!
While my car was being dyno tuned it developed a serious valve tap. I figured, no sweat, probably loosened them from over-reving on the dyno. I go to adjust them and everything was going fine until one of the intake valves of piston 2. I loosened the bolt and tightened the lash to the limit. The gap was about a little less than an eighth of an inch!!! The gap would not close at all. This is with it screwed to the max!! I was like WTF? I then wiggle the piece underneath the bolt/screw (sorry don't know the terminology--my helms is in the car) and it's loose as hell compared to the opposing valve. Can anyone give me some insight/advice/estimate/idea of how serious/etc., etc....
If the valve is bent it wont properly seat and will be shorter than normal making the gap bigger than normal.
Hows the compression on that cylinder.
