Default sensors and tuning

On my drag kit there will fit one lambda sensor will i have to weld another fitting on the downpipe when im gonna tune it with i wide band sensor?
or can i unplug my sensor and use the wide band sensor to tune then just switch again?

wont my ecu start reacting weird when the sensor isnt sending the correct signals?
or do i have to hook up the wide band sensor to the ecu?
