Default Send it back??? or is it an easy fix??

Just put a new tranny in my gfs car and got everything done....hooked up ready to go. Filled it with fluid and was about to take it off the jacks when i noticed a tiny bit of fluid by one of the bolts. Anyways......turns out there is like a super tiny hairline crack...very minute.....about 1/2 inch long. I wipe it...and about 30 sec. later a little bit of fluid comes back to that spot. I just drained the trans tonight....my question is do i send it back for another one? or can i just put some JB Weld over the hairline crack? what are your reccomendations? use something else...use JB Weld...send it back?

Thanks,
Josh

doesn't have to be a trans shop. if it's just a hairline crack, welding it should be fine.

If they will give you a new one I would send it in, if shipping is not that expensive. If not just JB weld or have someone with a tig welder fix it real quick.

gonna call today on pricing to see if a shop can braze it. If not just throw a weld on there.

just talked to the trans shop....they said if u wanted to, u could take it somewhere that welds trans' but JB Weld would do fine for the fix. They just said to make sure u prep the surface well. So i'm gonna try JB Weld and if it doesnt work...oh well....then i'll take it to be welded.

Thats good to let the seller know about any problems and what you did to fix it just to cover your *** if something goes wrong.
