Selecting a turbo
Hey fellas, im finally going to get back into the boost game.
Here is the setup so far.
1992 eg civic
1998 GSR swap, stock internals, SK2 pro series mani, AEM fuel rail, Aeromotive FPR, Braided fuel line from filter to rail, pretty much all the little things that dont do much ....
Turbo setup:
Full race tubular mani (T3/40mm flange)(already have)
Tial 40mm WG w/ dumptube(already have)
3'' 4 bolt DP(already have)
I still need to choose a turbo for my setup. The car will be daily driven. I live in FL. But im going to trailor the car to Jeff Evans( ) and have him tune it. I would like around 310-320 on pump, and ~380 with C16
Im thinking pretty much any run of the mill turbo will be fine for my small goals. Im looking for a semi quick spool, with full boost coming in no later than 5500 rpm's.
Im not looking to jump on the HT bandwagon with a GT35 or SC61 either, im not looking for room to "grow" in the future, that will be a whole different setup.

Re: Selecting a turbo (slowteg90)
nobody has any noob advise for me?
Looking for a turbo that will support ~400hp, 4 bolt discharge, oil cooled only preferred.

There are a number of turbos that would work well for you depending on your budget. If you're looking for a turbo that can make shy of 400whp on race gas, you could get any of the following:
-T3/T04E 50, 57, 60 trim
-GT3255b or e
I had the GT3255b and its good to about 440whp but i was seeing full boost around 3800rpm on the street. That'd be my pick. PM TheShodan and see what he has to say about it.
