Default secret to put in RC injectors?

Any tips on how to get the RC injectors into a 00 Civic Si? We are putting on the greddy turbo kit and they will not go into the rubber grommets. Any tips on how to get them seated properly?

They aren't supposed to go "IN" the rubber grommets. They sit on top of them and you put the rail on.

They have to go in some. The fuel rail is not far enough down to get any bite on the 3 nuts that hold it. I know they dont go all the way in but they at least need to go down a half inch or so.

I had to loosen the two studs that the fuel rail bolts onto. I think They had to come out about 1/3-1/2 inches. Enough for the studs to not come loose, but enough to be able to tighten down the nuts to hold the fuel rail tight.

I put RC injectors in my 99 Civic Si and had no trouble. Are you sure that they are in the fuel rail right? Put a little oil on the o-ring and they should snap, click, lock (whatever you want to say) into place. I didn't have to touch the studs and i'm sure the cars are identical.

I just put some into my integra and it was quite easy. They just rest on those rubber grommets. I didnt have to mess with the studs either. Install the injectors in the fuel rail first and then tighten everything down.

I don't know if you just want them to rest on the top of the grommets like that or not. I just ground out the stock grommets with a dremel. I also ground out the stock phenolic spacers. Some people told me to throw them out because they did nothing, but others said to keep them because they insulated the injector from heat - so I just used them to be safe. But, as you can see in the pic, my injectors are pretty far down in the manifold, just like the stock ones.

If your having probs getting the thread to catch then your porblem is proly that injector isnt all the way in the fuel rail. Add a little grease and get it in thier without pinching o ring and then line up injector with holes push in and let it rest on rubber grommet. I did mine yesterday and took about 30 mintues but I took my time on rewiring the obd2 clips.

i just finished my rc440 install and at first i thought they were not going to seat properly but after i tightened the bolts down it was like stock.... i didn't have to modify anything and i used the grommets rc engineering supplied.

That's the key is to use the grommits from RC. They are almost half as tall as the stock grommits. I used them and ditched the phenolic spacers underneath them and it worked but when I took them out they grommits were chewed up. PITA.

Yeah, mine didn't come with any grommets from RC, so I had to use the stock ones.

Well i couldnt get them in all the way. I just tightened the fuel rail down on top of them. The car runs perfect and feels quite strong. We'll hook the wideband up to it and see whats going on. Ive never had a problem installing injectors before, normally i can slide them in with a little oil on the grommet. These were a different story. No matter how much grease or soap i used, i could not get them to seat inside of the rubber grommets.
