i'd say drive it there in vacuum only. but if you're really scared, trailer it. i guess trailering it isn't a bad idea just in case you bust something over at the tracks.

If you have a trailer then trailer it. Otherwise get AAA premium. Its only 100 bucks which is a lot less than the cost of renting a uhaul once. You get 4 tows in a year up to 100 miles each with a pretty cheap fee to tow extra miles.

Great idea there. You could probably get it for even less if you have your daddy add you on to his membership. I think I'll tkae your advice and upgrade my membership. But 2 hours for this guy sounds like more than 100 miles... I guess you could stop halfway and call for another tow?

I wonder if they'd get mad if you pretend your car doesn't work and get it towed to the event also.

If it really bothers you a lot just get a trailer just in case.

OT: Also out of curiosity how did your ls motor blow? I was just reading your thread with the dyno numbers from that setup and it impressed me.

If the only thing your worried about is axels then

Bring 2 extra axels, 32mm socket, 10mm socket, 12mm socket, 15mm socket, 14mm deep socket, 17mm socket, a wratchet of course, bring the equivalent in wrenches, a few extensions, breaker bar, pry bar, hammer, a friend, 3 quarts of honda MTF, a funnel, a jack, jackstands and of course, a triple A card

but a trailer would be nice.

I think if you are scared to drive a measly 2 hours to a race and back, then you don't have faith/trust in whoever built your car. If you can't trust it to go 2 hours, than how much trust do you have in your car at the drags?

I personally say drive it there. The only reasoning i would see behind trailering a car is if:

A) It's not registered/insured for the street
B) Not safe to be on the street/or not setup to be on the street IE no headlights/taillights
C) It simply doesn't run.

just dont boost on the freeway

you will be fine. remember a turbo wont spool unless the motor is under load. so just cruising you wont have a problem.

im surprised no one caught this yet. . in my opinion DONT RUN THOSE SLICKS!!!
i had a LS turbo hatch runnin 10-11 psi with 20x8x13s and they were way too small !! WAY TOO SMALL>. spun real bad even after baking them up and it made me need to shift into 5th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i dunno man but if i were u stick with the street tires and just lower the air press... if u want try them a run or 2 but be prepared to swap back on the stocks.

ok i bet u will have the same problem 20x6?????? thats too thin 6 inch wide is too thin in my opinion and u are making more power than i was... givin u are using 14s but i dont think havin a 6inch wide patch is enough. . . ur205 50 15s prolly have an 8 inch patch, and are way taller....... ur gonna lose alot top end and i bet have to shift into 5th just tryin to save u from the dissapointment. i ws all hyped up on my 20x8x13 i like the width but they were way too small and i went slower with the slicks than with my 205 50's
