Default SC question

Why is it that on alot of roots type SC's such as the Jackson Racing kit seem to have the teflon coating flaked off the rotors after just 15 to 20K miles? Dosen't seem to hurt the operation of the unit. Input?

Overrevving the blower/too much heat, ingesting foreign objects into the blower...could be a few things.

Mine came off with more miles than that and the blades looked brand new, no teflon peeling at all.

the teflon coating is a engineering flaw with the jrsc. the metal they coat is to smooth for it to properly bond. the amount of thermal protection with the teflon coating is so minimal the no noticable difference should be seen with it removed. I only like teflon coating on my pans so the eggs don't stick in the mornings, they can keep it off my sc rotors.
