well for what its worth, i got my 1200's, had em cleaned and balanced, and flow tested, for half of what they are new. look in the marketplace. people are selling them.

The duty cycle for 550cc/min injectors for 300-350whp is over 100%. For that much power you'll need something bigger. The formula to calculate the injector size needed is:
(Crank HP x .65 x 10.5)
---------------------------------
(# of injectors x Duty Cycle) = cc/min injectors needed
I wouldn't go over 85% for the duty cycle. This formula will give you a good idea of what size you need, but in the real world it always seems like you can get more power from a certain size injector than the formula implies. It depends on how much you want to push it.

I've seen >300whp with dsm 450's, a good pump, and a stock B18B1. I'd surmise that formula has already factored in crappy V.E. that most engines have, along with a healthy safety margin.
From what I've seen, a more realistic formula for boosted Hondas is: (CC# x 0.6 = max safe whp). The majority of Hondas pushing their injectors will have >3" exhausts, very good fmic's, relatively simple chargepipe routing, and otherwise parts tuned for high-rpm.

on what injectors?
hiprofile's equation actually looks pretty good to me.

I run RC 550cc Sat. on my car. Running 325whp. One of the dyno runs I made 360whp, and still a little room... So your numbers are off. I'll ask my tuner for the exact duty cycle...

Like I said, in the real world you can make more power than the formula says. The BSFC is on the high side and it doesn't take into account the possibility of higher fuel pressure (I think the formula applies to 43.5psi). The numbers aren't really off, they are just meant to be conservative so you have plenty of headroom and don't push the duty cycle too high.

Yup, if you wanna keep the fuel pressure stock. I'm making just under 270 on a Mustang dyno (roughly 300-310 on a dynojet) with 750s at about 60% duty cycle. I wasn't really comfortable increasing fuel pressure which is why I went with the 750s.

Re: Saturated 550? (ndogg)
Thanks Ndogg,
We've had some very good feedback from our customers on our High Impedance 550s for the Hondas. Our injectors also have the advantage of using the OEM style Honda injector body, which means that there are absolutely no fitment issues with sealing to the manifold and fuel rail. The use the OBD0/1 connector currently, aand we are working on OBD2 direct drop-ins next...
Thanks from Craig

Re: Saturated 550? (TunerToys)
I used TunerToys 550's for awhile and then upgraded to RC 750's (needed more power).
Tuner Toys is an awesome company with great customer service. Their products are all good and the injectors kicked ***.
I don't know why anyone WOULDN'T use Tuner Toys' 550's. Even if money was no issue and I had to do it again, I would buy Tuner Toys 550's.

Re: Saturated 550? (GetawayInMoscow)
I would suggest that if you are going any bigger than 550cc to go with low impedance injectors. They are much more responsive. My 1000cc's were a billion times easier to work with than my RC 550's.

It's not that his numbers are off he is just forgetting the fact that base fuel pressure can be turned up to increase flow.

Re: Saturated 550? (KeyserSoze)
I was running stock fuel pressure... Regardless, you should go with 750's anyway. You'll have more room to grow, and they will idle the same. I regret getting 550's because I'd like to get a race-gas tune now...
