sanding the sharp edges of pistons?

Default sanding the sharp edges of pistons?

just got some je 9.1 pistons.Would it be good to sand those sharp edges and marks from the cnc machine.How's done,what materials you guys recomend?

I'll tell you another trick, from my motorcycle days.
Sand the bottom edge of the piston skirt also, as well as the top.
The sharp edge can scrape the oil off the cylinder wall, and shorten overall ring life.

Any changes made to the top of the piston can ultimately affect the straightness of the ring lands which is one of the keys to proper ring seal.
