Default routing the dump tube

i'm thinking of routing my dumptube into my down pipe. will it create a problem with anything though? i searched and the only thing i could find was on a little info on a dsm forum but not enough to find what i was looking for. would be cool to quiet down but if there is down sides too it i won't cut and weld my way into trouble. input would be great . thanks

Ive run the same set up and maps on h23s and swapped down pipes with internal and external dumps with out any surge, shutter, or creep problems but as far as minute power numbers because of turbulence in pipe is one thing i am not sure about but its prob not enough to matter

I did a dyno of the dump tube routed back, and open dump.

The graphs were the exact same and i didnt lose or gain any horsepower either way or another.

this was at 330whp,

and my dump is routed back on the 90* bend by the oil pan, 3" exhaust.

I cant stand the sound of open dump, i like listening to my turbo isntead.

Im going for more power this summer, so i will also do a before and after when im in the 400's to see if it makes a difference.

The only time I've heard it cause problems is when you route the dump into the downpipe all the way at the top. The right was to do it is to run the dump tube down under the oil pan and then merge the two pipes there.

Yeah, I have only seen any issues when it was mounted higher up near the turbo. Nice setup.
