Revlimiter at 5000rpm !!!!!!!!!!??????????
Ok, I got D16Y8 with A'pexi kit, no intercooler, VAFC, 450cc injectors, 255lph fuel pump. When cruising on the highway, after punching my car a few times...my car will start hitting the 'revlimiter' at 5000rpm. If I then let it cool down afterwards, it's okay again. It is warm lately, but will that make my car cut out like that? It's only pushing 4psi right now.
Can it be a faulty VAFC install? It worked fine before and it still seems to be.... Can the IAT sensor be the cause? It's currently sandwiched between the filter and filter pipe.

Reset the ECU. I had that happen once w/ my Greddy turbo D16 after a particularly long boosting pull and motor wouldn't go above 5000rpm. After you reset the ECU, it should be OK.
BTW, SOHC VTEC motors have no secondary butterflies.

nonono, it does it for awhile then if I let the engine cool down, it's okay again. I don't have to reset anything.
I am wondering why it'd do this in the first place.

What did you do about your IAT sensor?
