I´m almost ready with my turbo set up.
I'll be runing a GT28RS
550 inyectors. fuel pump
Hondata S300
On my Stock Civis Si '00 B16A2

Right now it revs up to 8400 befor it creeps. abit. So i was wondering can i go 8500 or 9000 when be boosted. can i adjust that on Hondata or is it crital and the result of incresing the revs will be a blown motor???
I ask this 'cause one of the maps on hondata A B16A boosted witha greddy turbo shows revs up to 11000 seems to my like a damn lot.
So guy running Stock B16 how much do you rev before shifting each gear??

stock b16 = stock rev limit

Don't rev a stock engine past the stock rev limit. I have a fully built valvetrain and I'm only taking my gsr to 9k.

 

On my stock 1st gen B16(which have one of the weakest valve springs) I was reving it to 8600 at most for half a year of straight abuse. But when I dynoed I was making more hp and tq the higher I reved(slight boost creep) so no point in reving if you're torque is dropping off. My new motor I take to 9500+ but this is fully built everything.
