Is it necessary to retorque your ARP head studs after so many miles? i bought mine new. Torqued them down. But read that after 500-1000 miles after they should be retorqued..What do you think???
I always do mine after a few heat cycles, and the directions from ARP say to do it, but lots of people don't and are fine. I figure it only takes a few minutes and can't hurt anything.
i think it would be kind of a pain in the *** to do since the cams and timing belt have to come off on vtec b-series motors. i have never done that and have had no problems thus far.
What i like to do is... After i do the final torque to the specs i want. I let it set for about 15-30 minutes. Then i start with the tightening sequence and back off a quarter turn and retorque them. Never had an issue with mine. But i guess mine is overkill, but i like to just make sure.
But if your not having issues with pressure in the radiator, or the head lifting under pressure, i would leave it alone. You should be fine.
What are your power goals?

ok thanks guys...idk i think im just going to leave it alone...especially if arp says its fine. The bottom end is built with je pistons eagle rods and has a triple layered head gasket...Head is stock. I made 400whp and drove in for about half the summer like that with no issues...I just like to be very cautious with little things like that which is why over winter i was going to retorque.
