Heres the scenario.. OBDII car, D16 motor and DSM blue tops injectors. I've been reading and seems like everyone is running a mandatory resistor box for the DSM to work on 92+ Civics.

I havea Friend with the DSM inj. on hos 98 civic and he did not used a resistor box or check valves. He just got the clips to be able to bolt the injectors in there and thats it.More than a year running them w/o any trouble. Whats up with that?

I am going to be doing almost the same setup and im wondering if it will work or not.

 

i think it fries the ecu if you dont use them

 

the wrong current going to the injector drivers in the ecu is not good and will fry them over time

 

saturated vs peak and hold.
u need that resistor box if u want those injectors to work properly.

 

yes you need one. Your stock injectors are high impedance the dsm are low impedance.

Or you can pick up some 10watt 10ohm wirewound resistors from radio shack.

 

They probably wont even work if you dont use it. Its not really an option.
