Default resistor box

trying to run some dsm 450s on my friends 97 prelude i know he needs a resistor box but my question is do i have to use a resistor box off a honda or can i use one from a dsm car? is one easier to install than the other?? thanks!

pretty sure that the dsm will work. IIRC, all drivers reqiure the same resistence. and even a 10w10ohm inline will work. although they are a bit bulky.

thanks for that fast reply.. yea went ahead and bought the injectors it came with the resistor box from an eclipse gsx.. has anyone used a dsm resistor box? anything i should know?

Yes, you can use a dsm resistor box. Keep in mind the injectors you are about to use are very old, I would have personally spent some money on brand new injectors.

Or at least have them cleaned and tested before installation. They may be old, but are reliable when cleaned and checked.

oh really? yea my friend and i are new at turbos and hondas.. were just looking for a basic setup.. where could we get the injectors cleaned/tested at? do like autozone and oriellys do that?

Places like RC, Five-O motorsports, and other injector facilities. Don't think Import/Honda; think automotive.

O'Rellys & Autozone are only good for car wax, airfilters , and tire shine.

Good to know on the resistor boxes. Thanks for the info guys. I wonder if the plugs are similar? I guess if you are getting into the wiring anyway, the plug is one of the least important.

As far as the injectors you have, we'd be able to clean and test your injectors for you. As well as replace the seals, filters, and o-rings.

dont put em on a stock motor with bolt ons ur gonna flood it.. even with a turbo ur gonna flood it. make sure u get it tuned!!
