Reputable Shops for Engine Swapping (Bay Area)
I am not sure if this is the right forum to ask about the reputable shops in the Bay Area. I would like to do an engine swap soon by a shop for a reasonable price. What's the going rate for an engine swap for the swapping itself not the motor (I will provide the motor and stuff)? Someone mentioned Trick Speed and I could not find any information about that shop. Many thanks!

If you do it yourself, the job will actually be done right and will be more reliable.
I do not trust any shops for anything

trickspeed (sac) closed down. one of my friends does swaps all the time. he can do it for you... depending what motor it is and what car its going into. he probably charges less than the guy posted above... like around $300-$350? let me know if you are interested.
theres one shop up at sacramento and another shop in the east bay that i know does good swaps at good prices. everyone is pretty much average.

dustin,
i'd figure you'd say that. acme fabrications aint too bad. they just rush their shiet too much... and they only got one good mechanic. but acme wasnt the shop i was referring to. theres another shop my friends go to and ive heard good things.

do it yourself.. There is no shops in the Bay Area that I know of that does good engine swaps. yah but just do it yourself. You will learn more about the car. And also what happens if you car breaks down if the shop installed it. Well then you have to take it back to the shop. And you know what that means. More money... Hope this helps.. Peace out

or you can actually have someone do it... and watch them do it so you can see how its done. thats usually the best way, if not doing it yourself.
