Default Replacing Log Manifold

I am looking at replacing my log manifold with something to make a little more power. I have seen equal length manifolds and the inline pro log manifold. I am worried by switching from a log manifold to a non log manifold that i would have move things around in the engine bay to fit. Would it be best to stick with a better log manifold so i dont have to worry about refitting things. I am not looking to skimp on quality but pockets are not deep enough for a full race manifold. All suggestions are welcome and heres a pic of my current manifold to help you guys get an idea of what im workin with. Thanks!

Well... A good equal length shorty would have the best of 2 worlds, however, no matter what you do, unless it is a similar log manifold that has similar placement, you're more than likely going to have to modify your downpipe and possibly dumptube to fit more securely with the new manifold. Best bet, is to get the manifold and downpipe combo together just to be safe.

From my personal experience I had the inline pro T3 manifold for 3 years(now I have the t4) it is great quality, no cracking or anything. It is also very similiar to the one you have, the only difference is that the wastegate is mounted in the center of the manifold. The turbo is mounted in the same place as your manifold, although it might be off a few inches from its design.

You can also keep your p/s and a/c with the inline manifold, only downside is the price...try and find one used or call inline to see if they have one used. Used is just as good as new after some cleanup and paint.

I had a welded log manifold and cheap equal length, both cracked eventually, power was roughly the same on all of em.

that cast log will make plenty of power, granted it doesnt flow like a ramhorn unit or a miniram or top mount but it gets teh job done. how much power are you makign now and how much are you trying to make and what turbo are you running, can we get a break down of the setup please

Its a "ebay" t3/t4 turbo from a cheap kit on my b16a2. I have been trying to upgrade the turbo setup. So far i have a tial BOV and just bought a tial wastegate thats waiting to be installed. My next step was the manifold but i wasnt looking to have to do a lot of refitting and then i was going to get a new turbo. I was looking at the inline pro manifold since i figured switching to a better flowing log would create less headache. Im making 300 hp give or take a few. I dont have a power goal in mind as of yet, but if i can squeeze out some more ponies ill be happy.

Unfortunately I think that changing your manifold will require you to move/modify the downpipe and chargepipe. Have you thought about running a Mini-Ram manifold. They are not crazy expensive and work very well.

At that power level a cast manifold works just fine. I've seen people make high 400's on just a cast mani. Its going to be more bling factor than anything at your point. I would be more concern about ditching the ebay turbo.

Instead of buying a new ramhorn at 600+ why don't you just get a better turbo you'll get more gains and the log which is equal length really will do the job, Keller has gone 9s on it no doubt it's not the most efficient probably once you put alot of power but it i'll get the job done under 450-500whp just fine I would think.

Id personally go with a garrett or borg warner. Both can usually be had for around $550-$600 new.
