Remove engine or head???
Got no answers from the CRX forum so here goes need some advice and what to do next.
B16 turbo with stock internals running about 9psi.
Car is smoking from valvecover badly and slightly from exhaust.
Compression Check
Cyl. 1: 180
Cyl. 2: 180
Cyl. 3: 90
Cyl. 4: 90
My question is should I pull the entire Engine out or should I start by pulling the head while engine stays in car???? I'm thinking more than likely the rings are gone, but could it be just be a valve?????

It's more then likely the ringlands, I had the same symptoms and it was my ringlands. I actually pulled my head first and it looked good. The good thing was the block was this made the block easier to pull, which was good for me cause I was working alone.
Leakdown test before you do anything. Pulling the motor before you do that would be like a chick feeling a lump in her breast and having them both removed before you even get a mammogram done.

well you could remove the head and check it out, when i had a bent valve it was 180,180,180, 90. but the bent valve couldn't been seen by the eye. so i brought iy yo a machine shop and had them check it out. replaced it and it was back up to 180!
