Remote IACV?
Ok, i;ve been thinking about it and i think it will work, my intake mani doesnt have any provision for the factory IACV. There is a fitting on the tb that i could lead to one side of the IACV and then therea rea few ports on the back of the intake mani..
will it work?
you can see the fitting capped off on the bottom
the back of the mani (if you didnt notice )

Re: Remote IACV? (wantboost)
just use 2 of the 48749757595 you have coming off the intake mani and run them to a plate. tap some push on fittings to the plate and secure the plate to the sensor. should be fine. as long as the sensor is reading whats goin on in the mani you are in good shape

yea its a mustang tb. that bottom nipple isnt a coolant port, it just leads directly into the tb inlet

Re: Remote IACV? (raene)
It will work, ... but you must install one of the ports to the manifold side (after the throttle plate) and the other to the charge pipe side (before the throttle plate). The IAC just regulates how much air can enter the intake manifold with the throttle plate closed. Hooking both of the ports on the IAC to the intake manifold side will not work, as it will not be bypassing any air around the throttle plate.
We are doing a similar remote IAC on a custom manifold Talon.... works fine.

Re: Remote IACV? (JDM-Civic-Hatch)
since your using a mustang T/B just use a mustang IACV. I did, it works great. the idle settings in the AEM will be like setting up the stock one.

Re: Remote IACV? (Dturbocivic)
yea i knew how it worked and how to route it, just wanted feedback on it. the reason i am using the stock iacv is my car is obd2 and i have to go through the ecu code check, so im pretty sure a mustang iacv will throw a code.... now for that damn mustang tps, lol

Lame. I'm assuming they plug into the OBD2 port on cars for inspection now in Georgia too? Just have someone with the same car (doesn't even have to be the same year) get inspected for you with your registration. Then just enter all your information on the states computer system. You just have to find a shady inspection place where the employees are ok with that.

Re: Remote IACV? (daveG)
yup and they scan the barcode on the door automatically puts everything up on the screen
i have thought of just making a duplicate sticker. hehe
the problem is all of the inspection places are in town and are full of rednecks (i.e your civic needs to be destroyed) so finding one that will help me out could be a little hard,
