Default Redline Tranny Fluid

I am about to drop my motor back in this weekend. My question is has anyone used Redline's tranny fluid? I heard from my friends here that they used it and had no problems. I just wanted to get some opinions from you guys here if I should use Redline or stick w/ Honda's fluid?

running the fluid wont hurt anything.

there have been a few people in the past that had minor problems. I havent heard any direct problems with it (im a redline dealer and sell a decent amount of mtf)

but, unless you are racing, honda mtf is pretty good. I run honda tranny fluid even though I hve cases of redline oil in stock

I change my fluid every 6-10k miles. the fluid is cheap and its easy to change fluid out.

Im running a high fd (4.929) so my tranny is at high speeds most of the time.

I guess ifyou hare having overheating issues, you could setup a tranny oil cooler. otherwsie you will be fine with either honda or redline tranny fluid

i use the royal purple 75w90 and works great for me. it has a limited slip additive in it that really helped the car go straighter.

FWIW, i use Redline in my nissans. i use the MT90 in the 200sx and Shockproof (heavy mixed with a little MT90) in the sentra se-r. the only drawback about the Shockproof is that it has to be "warmed up" before u can really row through the gears. ive never had a problem running either of these in my transmissions.....and nissan trannies arent known for their longevity. here's a pic of what my drainplug looked like on the 200sx with the MT90 after 2 years of use.

just drained (dirty)

reinstalled (clean)

That's a neat looking drain plug, is it magnetic?
