Realistic Goal??
I have a 00 integra ls that I am going to turbo, I want to stay carb legal so I am thinking of going with the greddy kit. I am looking to get around 270-300whp at 10 psi. I will ditch the blue box and go with hondata with 440cc injector's. Anyone have any experience? I have a friend that made 366whp at 12psi with the kit but that was on a crvtec engine. Thank's for any help

Bigger injectors. Some will say you can make 300whp with 440's
sure its POSSIBLE, but thats near the limit.
If you are going hondata, get 550's to meet your needs using
the stock fpr and fuel pump....
the rest of the 'plan' is good.

I am at 15 psi and I can only manage to get 254. No way your friend is pushing 366whp on a greddy kit at 12 psi even on a crv-tec motor. Can I see a dyno sheet?

your 235tq seems kinda week. on a carb legal kit, i'm not even sure 300whp is possible
good luck and it will definately take more than 10psi on a carb legal kit to even make that kinda power. i made 320@12psi as well, but i made 270tq

so im willing to bet it wasnt a small turbo.

But he's referring to a greddy kit. Greddy kits come with a 18g turbo and your runnin a custom kit. A friend of mines is pushing 354@11psi but it sure ain't with a greddy turbo.

He said it was a custom kid, not a carb legal kit!.... For the original poster, i dont think there is a way to get those kinda numbers SAFELY!! Because if you get an intercooler- not carb legal...BOV-not carb legal...Hondata- not carb legal(cause you gotta switch to OBD1 and your car is OBDII). Although I think they are working on getting the intercooler legal, it isn't right now! Your intake temps would be hiiiigh! If you have a custom turbo kit it is not legal, unless you went and and got it made legal somewhere(if you can even do this) Although the setup will pass the "snifer"( it actually makes exhaust cleaner!) but it will not pass visual and neither will your ecu(if you use Hondata). But, like me, you can risk it and hope the guy knows nothing about motors and you pass!

ok, I want it to appear to be the greddy smog legal kit. I do plan on running there type-24 intercooler as well as running Hondata with 550cc and a walbro fuel pump. I also will upgrade the down pipe. I think I can get away with modifiying the greddy kit with most police being none the wiser
Thanks for your reply's

You don't have to get Hondata w/ the new Greddy Kit to make 300whp. In Michigan it's been done a couple of times. Just some 550ccs and use either a laptop or E-01 Boost controller to control the preset e-manage that came with the kit. You can remove the sticker on it (though it TECHNICALLY will no longer will be CARB legal, but smog will never know) and tune the e-manage to get that number. BUT, some head work or VTEC head will make the tuning job a bit easier
Well if your gonna try to "fool" the cops why not just get another kit that will easily get you your 300whp goal and slap on a fake Greddy Carb sticker. There were people selling them on here although i dont know if they still are. They looked legit and ALOT of people bought them. You can download the "legal papers" too and print them out. Just do the search on here and youll find em. Not saying this is a good idea in anyway, just threw it out there incase you would want to go that route?

i think it depends also alot on what parts your using..such as what type of manifold/size turbo/size intercooler/compression ratio etc....

I understand that but we are talkin about a greddy kit which is a 18g turbo@ 12 psi on a crvtec pushing 366. Do you think thats possible @ 12psi on a 18g?

You can have only 2 of those:
12psi and 18g, yes
18g and 366hp, yes
12psi and 366hp, yes
not all 3 at the same time....
