Default reading turbos: help need general info.

can someone please clear up the numbers regaurding turbos. I spent a lot of time reading here but obviously not enough. It would really help if someone could just help out.

Is a t3/t4 turbo better more so for street moreso than a t4?

Is a t3 a smaller "intake side" blade?

Is this the same as the greddy t04? and greddy t03? (heard it once I think)

what is A.R. Is it like, a.r. 47 has a quicker spool than say a.r. 63? and would the a.r. 63 have a higher hp potential?

In other words when you have a turbos' stats, how do you translate that into spool time or hp potential or whatever. I know all the parts and where they go, just not this.

and who makes the "sc" series turbo. like sc60 or sc30 or something? And same as above? the sc30 has a quicker spool than the sc60 which has higher hp potential?

say whatever you want about it.

accually t3 maybe better for street use than a t4 because it will spool quicker. the t3 has the smaller exhaust side, not smaller intake side. ar is basically a ratio between the wheel and the housing (i think). the sc series tubo is manufacured by precision. and the larger the wheel, the more hp at the top end. a smaller wheel the quicker it will spool and less efficient it will be at higher rpms. for example the the sc30 will have less hp potential than an sc61 but faster spool. hope this clears things up, if not there is somebody that may be able to explain it better. if there r any more q's please ask.

So what is AR in regaurds of performance gains? I understand the size part.

Is 38mm a small wastegate?

assuming its small would it be best used with a low boost application or low hp potential? Would it give any performance gains? Its more of a what you need for your application right?

What sizes are popular?
